The End Result

Conclusions:

The bike was completed on May 5th, 2009, for a total cost of $2,200. The bike is very fun to ride. We reached all of our set goals and are very proud of our results. The bike accelerates nicely to its top speed of 50 mph.

The purpose of this project was to convert a gasoline powered motorcycle to an electric motorcycle. The project required the team to use material learned in Systems Design 1 to plan and complete the project. The project also taught the team how to effectively work as a unit by maximizing the use of skills possessed by each member. It also demonstrated the need for proper planning, allowing time for unexpected problems to occur and time to solve those problems. Over all, the senior project is an important learning tool for all those involved.
